Embrace the Unknown
Do you really understand if you have never experienced it? Imagine for a moment that you have never rode a bike, eaten at a 5-star restaurant, baked a pie from scratch, dipped your toe in the ocean or set foot on the moon.
Once we have experienced something, our perception of it changes. Until that point, we simply have a preconceived notion of what we expect. Our reality is based on prior experiences, formal and informal knowledge acquired, and the actuality we assume to be true.
As such, we should not look at our journey into the unknown as a familiar place but rather as an opportunity to learn and test out our preconceived notions. This readily takes place as we proceed through unchartered territory as a new startup. You won’t have all the answers. You don’t always know what is next. You may not even fully understand why it is you’re doing what you’re doing.
But it is at this point, when you relinquish power to a higher source and you come to believe you are on the right path, that your reality shifts to something greater than you could have ever imagined. Suddenly life flows in a way it never has before. You know beyond a shadow of a doubt you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. The journey ahead becomes clear.
Entrepreneurship is not about having all of the answers. It is not about feeling comfortable because you have been here or there before. It is about knowing you have something to give back. It is about knowing you have something to learn. It is about knowing what you do matters. Embrace your passion. Live the life you love. Release the entrepreneur within.
